Expert Installation & Field Note
Based on our shop experience specializing in heavy-duty brakes since 1985: The 1-1/8-inch bore size is common in medium-duty forklift applications like the Towmotor 540. Since this unit does not include a pedal rod, ensure your existing rod is free of pitting or bends before installation. Proper pushrod alignment is critical to ensure the piston travels squarely within the bore, preventing internal bypass and ensuring a firm pedal response.
⚠ CRITICAL: Verify Specifications
To ensure safety, verify that this master cylinder’s 1-1/8-inch bore size and 1/2-20 INV outlet match your existing unit exactly before purchasing.
