Based on our shop experience specializing in heavy-duty brakes since 1985:
- Bench Bleeding: Never skip bench bleeding the master cylinder assembly on a vice before mounting to the firewall or booster face. Trapped air pockets inside the bores create persistent spongey pedal issues.
- Bottom-Port Routing: Ensure your hard-line exit routing has sufficient structural clearance below the master cylinder housing to prevent kinking or rubbing during installation.
- Fluid Compatibility: Use clean DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid only.
CRITICAL: Verify Specifications
Ensure your existing hydraulic system uses inverted flare (INV) fitting interfaces. Standard metric or pipe-thread adapters will fail to seat correctly inside the master ports, leading to catastrophic system pressure failure.
