🛠️ Expert Installation & Field Note
Based on our shop experience specializing in heavy-duty brakes since 1985:
- Bench Bleeding: Never skip bench bleeding the master cylinder assembly on a vice before mounting to the firewall or booster face. Trapped air pockets inside the cast iron bores create persistent spongey pedal issues.
- Pushrod Depth: Always verify piston cup depth against your existing brake pedal pushrod length to ensure full travel range before final hydraulic hard-line torque sequences.
- Fluid Compatibility: Use clean DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid only.
Ensure your existing hydraulic system uses inverted flare (INV) fitting interfaces. Standard metric or pipe-thread adapters will fail to seat correctly inside the cast iron bore ports, leading to catastrophic system pressure failure.
