Based on our shop experience specializing in heavy-duty brakes since 1985, the parking brake mechanism is CRITICAL.
- E-Brake Usage: You must set the parking brake every time you park. The internal one-way clutch mechanism adjusts off the parking brake stroke. Failure to set the parking brake leads to a low, spongy pedal as the adjuster fails to advance the piston.
- Alignment: Ensure pushrod and cable tension are correctly set for the self-adjuster to function.
