Pushrod Alignment: Verify that the pedal pushrod linkage aligns straight on the firewall bracket during reassembly. Misaligned pushrod angle on late 2nd-gen Ram cabs can score internal spool seals, leading to fluid bypass and loss of boost assist.
Hydraulic Fluid Flush: Hydroboost assemblies are extremely sensitive to thermal breakdown and metal debris in the power steering circuit. A complete power steering fluid flush is mandatory before connecting hydraulic pressure lines to protect internal valves.
