Pushrod Alignment: Ensure your firewall pedal linkage aligns completely straight during installation. On late GMT400 cabs, off-center pushrod travel can score internal hydraulic seals, causing premature fluid bypass and pressure drop.
Hydraulic System Flush: Hydroboost units are highly sensitive to contaminated fluid and metal particulate. We strongly recommend performing a full power steering fluid flush prior to plumbing this booster to protect the spool valve assembly.
